
Susan Grunin
Susan Grunin, Ph.D., is Senior Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Beacon Associates, Inc. She has over thirty years of experience, eighteen of which have been spent specializing in senior organizational development. She has recently co-authored a book entitled, Strategic Human Capital Management: A Practical Guide. She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia and University of Maryland University College since 1998, teaching Strategic HR Management, HR Trends in Human Capital, and Trends in Training and Development. She has also taught Managing Human Behavior in Organizations for the MBA Program at Green Mountain College which specializes in Sustainability issues for CEOs and others pursuing their MBA. She has presented at major organizational and strategic management conferences around the world. Her work with the federal government included the development of an HR Strategic Management and Planning Guide, HR Management and Training programs for federal executives, and other leadership and training curricula incorporating change management, competencies, performance management, and organizational design. Dr. Grunin’s Doctorate concentrated on Decision-Making and Organizational Design, in addition, she has certifications in Instructional Systems Design and Executive Leadership & Development /Coaching, holds a Green Belt in Six Sigma, and is a graduate of the United States Federal Judicial Center’s Senior Executives Program.
